General advice on lighting design

Do not leave dark corners. Poorly lit areas of the room "eat up" the space. In the process of playing, the child moves around the room: it is undesirable for him to strain his eyesight.

Use track systems for general lighting. Install them around the entire perimeter of the room: they will evenly illuminate the room and create a comfortable environment for games and relaxation.

Provide localized light by the bed. We recommend using table lamps or sconces. If you install a dimmer, then the lamp at the head can act as both a reading lamp and a night lamp.

Take care of the safety of the child. Lamps should be out of reach. Sockets and switches - hide under special plastic boxes.

Natural light

When choosing a room for a nursery, pay attention to which side the windows face. The most optimal options for observing the child's regimen are the east and southeast sides: in the morning, sunlight will illuminate the room, and in the evening natural twilight will form.
If the windows face west, then the situation is exactly the opposite: in the morning there will not be enough sunlight, and in the evening it will interfere with rest. Therefore, you will have to use thick curtains or blinds with bright artificial lighting - this will allow you to properly adjust the lighting in the interior of the children's room throughout the day.

Artificial lighting

The main rule to follow when choosing artificial lighting is the obligatory presence of evenly diffused soft light throughout the space. In the children's room, there should not be sharp, too-bright lighting, or dark corners - only smooth light transitions are allowed.

The location and number of fixtures will depend on the size of the room. Now designers recommend conditionally dividing space into zones. Central light
