Art café in Petersburg
Design project for the small Rudy's Coffee to Go coffee shop on Bolshoy Prospekt, Petrogradskaya Storona, in Saint Petersburg.
The basis of the interior is "pure contrast": a light floor and grey walls. The project's authors added bright furniture and placed accents of light – on a modest budget this recipe for an interior was carried out well.
When developing the lighting project we built on the principles of creating an atmosphere of comfort, cosiness and safety focused on the guest. The lighting was not meant to draw attention to itself: to be more "in the shadow" than "on show".
The objectives were met by placing accents of light in the right areas – the bar and the dining room.
The main element is the bar counter. Two lines of light HOKASU S35 in silver run above the counter, – the luminaires give even, bright lighting to this important part of the interior.
The soul of the coffee shop is the dining area. Three SP-RONDO pendant luminaires are installed in this area, creating a soft, even glow across the whole room. What distinguishes this series: an understated design and a round shape.
